Eisiger Lavendel / Lavender-Ice

Ist das nicht eine wundervolle Farbe? - Isn't this a beautiful colour?

Usually those pale colours are not my thing - but this seems to be an exception.

This is my second Back-to-School-Vest and I like it a thousand times more than my first one. I feel totally well in this precious garment, it fits perfectly and is cosy warm.

Those of you who expected here the purple cardigan have to be a little bit more patient. I'm sorry but I wasn't in the mood to sew it together until now.
I wish all of you a sunny weekend.

Die Farbe Lila ... / The colour purple ...

... is absolutely trendy this fall and so it is also a must-have for me. Finally I could destash a bit by knitting something with the yarn Tusshena of Lana Grossa which I have for about two years until now. I wanted to make this cardigan for several years. It is a pattern from a Gedifra Highlights magazine which is several years old. The pieces are ready now, they only have to be washed, blocked and sewed together. Knitting the cardigan was not really much fun because of only knit and purl with 3,5 mm needles. But the yarn is lovely and has a wonderful shimmer.

Then I casted on another "Back-to-School-Vest" in the trendy colour. It is Kid Classic of Rowan in the colour lavender ice of which I have 6 balls in my stash. Wonderful yarn, wonderful vest.

And another project in the trendy colour, here a bit more berry:
This should be a jacket for my niece Hannah. She will soon be 8 years old, wears a lot of purple garments and wanted to have a jacket made by her aunt. No problem for me! The yarn is "Flamme" of Junghans Wolle, made of 100 % polyacryl but it is cosy and not squeezy, if you know what I mean. With 10mm needles I have a very good chance to finish the gift by the time of Hannah's birthday. I think the yarn is the right for her because of allergies against wool.

Last but not least here is a project in another colour which is timeless. Fans will recognize immediately that it is "Martha" of Rowan Studio 2. I ordered the original yarn for this, it is Felted Tweed of Rowan in the colour midnight. The yarn is a dream, so soft and a pleasure to knit with.

Susanne

So, that's it for today, tomorrow we start again to the Baltic Sea to sail for the last time of this year and then take our ship out of the water in order to make it ready for the winter. Cross fingers we'll have good weather.
Until then best wishes
Susanne
